Why You Should Switch Your Pet To Grain Free Cat Food #HealthyPetHappyPet
About 11 years ago my husband and I adopted an adorable little kitten that fit perfectly in the palm of my hand. At the time we were expecting our first child and from the moment we brought Tiger home, she would always find a comfortable spot on top of my baby bump. I have never loved a cat more than this sweet girl and I could not imagine my life without her the past 11 years. I call her my first baby, spoil her rotten and always make sure to provide her with the healthiest lifestyle, especially since she is now in her senior years. We didn’t know a decade ago how important grain free foods were and there was very little information to find on the subject matter. Now that I am older, wiser and more informed about grain free cat food, I would like to share with you why it is important for you to make the switch!
Grains such as corn, wheat, and rice are the key ingredient for many cat foods because they are cheap to produce and allow the food manufacturer to meet the requirements for their foods while saving money. Unfortunately grains can cause problems for cats and many are actually allergic and have difficulties digesting it. Many scientists believe that this is because cats lack an salivary enzyme that helps them to break down carbohydrates like corn and wheat before they reach the stomach. After reading just this small bit of information, doesn’t it simply make sense to avoid feeding them foods that contain grain?
Choosing the right grain free cat food can be somewhat overwhelming, my local pet store actually has three aisles that contain cat food! How does one choose? I know that anytime I make a new purchase on any product, I do research and then seek out what others have to say about their experience with the product. Well I am thrilled to share with you my personal experience with feeding our two cats CANIDAE® Grain Free PURE over the course of a month.
What first intrigued me about CANIDAE® Pet Food Company was that they are a family owned pet food company. Upon further research I discovered that they started out as a family owned company in 1996, and they still are today! They are actually one of the last, true independent companies making pet food. From the first truckload of pet food they delivered from the back of their pick-up trucks to the latest batch cooked up at their Ethos Pet Nutrition plant in Brownwood, Texas, their story is one they are proud of. They started out as pioneers in the pet food industry with one goal in mind:
Make the best pet food possible.
In addition to being an honest and hard working company, their products are also made with your pets health in mind. Their pet food contains no chicken by product meal, corn, wheat, or soy. Grain free, limited ingredient diet, only 7-10 key ingredients, and their simple recipes are for sensitive pets. The CANIDAE® pet food is made with fresh meat and whole foods for great taste and healthy digestion. The food also contains the HealthPLUS Solutions In Every Bite®, which is simply:
- probiotics added to every kibble after cooking to help support healthy digestion
- antioxidants to help support a healthy immune system
- omega 6&3 fatty acids to help support beautiful skin and coat.
Switching my cats to the CANIDAE® Grain Free PURE line was one of the best decisions I have ever made when it comes to their health! Years ago my sweet Tiger use to get sick after eating and it broke my heart knowing that the food I was feeding her was the cause. My advice for you is to try grain free for a month to allow yourself to see firsthand the amazing changes that will happen in your pet’s health. You are not going to be disappointed with the pet food and I know once you switch to their grain free foods… you will never go back! Make sure to stop by their website before heading to the store and get your CANIDAE® pet food coupons! If you need to find out where they sell their pet food, visit the store locator.
