Pepper Skye Bandana Bib Review
A special thanks to Pepper Skye for providing me with a free product to review on my blog!
Product/Company Description (directly from PepperSkye.com)
“We make bibs, not your average bib for getting all nasty at meal times. We make bibs to keep our clothes dry while we are babbling and chewing on things. Our bibs are designed to soak up the drool, slobber and slime of a busy day being babies. They are stylish, colorful, easy for mom to look after, and they keep my clothes dry! Take a look at the collections I have on offer, there are quite a few. You can suggest ideas and patterns if you’d like. I can have them make special color combinations of the ones I already sell.”
“My bibs are made right here in the USA by local people in their free time. The whole business is designed so that local parents can participate in the manufacture of the bibs when the orders come in. That way, they can help grow my business and keep busy also. They like it when I pay them for the bibs they make too. Because my bibs are made by hand, not in a big old smelly factory with lots of machines and noise, each one is unique. They are all the same size-ish, they are all made with their own specific combination of pattern/color/thread, but each one is slightly different from the last.”
“I also donate 5% of the proceeds, after expenses, to children’s charities and good causes. Every two months I pick a new charity to send money to. We will start with a couple of local ones each year, then a couple of national ones, then back to local ones again. I think this is important, we should give back, it’s good karma. And this way, you know that by buying one of my bibs, you’re also helping out others.”
My Review
These adorable bibs are absolutely perfect for when your little one is teething. I remember when my children were in the drooling phase and I would have to change their shirts several times a day. Regular bibs were always a good temporary solution, but aren’t nearly as stylish or effective as the bandana bib. Regular bibs also mostly come in velcro and my children had a habit of pulling them off, causing the velcro to scratch at their neck. My favorite feature of the bandana bib would have to be the button snap in the back. This easy and affective alternative to velcro is wonderful and you never again have to worry about your little ones neck getting scratched. I just adore this style bib and would recommend it to any parent with “little droolers!”
I am a very big advocate for small businesses and I was so thrilled to do a review for Pepper Skye. This small business does a wonderful thing to help their community by including them in the manufacturing of their products. I love how each bib is made by a fellow parent and is one of a kind. I was also impressed with how charitable Pepper Skye is and that they donate 5% of their proceeds. I am so happy for them and all their success and hope that my fans will help to support this amazing small business!
