Luxury LA on a Budget : Your Ultimate Guide

Where better place to experience some true luxury than the place where some of the most famous, and powerful call home? Of course, we’re talking about Los Angeles, and boy howdy is there plenty of luxury to be had. Just read on to find out more.

Shop ’til you drop

If you are looking for all the most exclusive designer brands in one place then Rodeo Drive is a place you must visit. There among the wide pavements and palm trees, you can find fashion icons Dolce & Gabbana, Balenciaga, and Louis Vuitton.

Oh and just in case your budget doesn’t quite stretch to a new wardrobe from one of these stores, remember they often stock smaller items at lower price points such as bags, and accessories. Then you still get to parade up and down the stress with your purchase in their official carry bag. After all, no one knows what you have inside it but you!

Beach life

Santa Monica is definitely one of the more refined and high-end beach areas in LA. However, that isn’t to say that you won’t be able to find some reasonably priced places to eat and drink. Indeed, there are several venues to grab some food including Pita House Inc, and Tar and Roses that are great value.

You will also find some great restaurants like Water Grill, which although a little more expensive, does overlook the Ocean. Be sure to take a walk along the wooden boardwalk too and do some window shopping in the unique boutique stores like 66-To-Cali and Marlene’s Beachcomber you will find there. Oh and grab your towel and head to the beach for some low-cost relaxation in this trendier part of town.

Kick back at a nice hotel

One thing there is no shortage of in LA is hotels, and some of the most high-end establishments in the world are located within the city limits such as The Queen Mary, a hotel contained inside a 1930 ocean liner, or the stylish The Hollywood Roosevelt where Marilyn Monroe herself stayed, and the very first Oscars were held.

Of course, such esteemed locations may put a strain on your budget. However, there is no need to worry as you can still get your little slice of paradise by choosing one of the many other hot tub hotels in LA that are on offer. After all, aren’t we all stars that deserve a jacuzzi in our room? I certainly think so!

Theme parks

OK, so a day in a theme park may not scream luxury at first. However, there are plenty of high-end experiences for the taking if you know where to look. First of all, when visiting Disneyland you can opt to have breakfast with some of your favorite characters, and by paying for a fast pass you will be made to feel like a VIP, complete with being able to skip the lines for the most popular rides!

Additionally in Universal Studios, the whole idea is to give you a peek ‘behind the scenes of a movie set which is a great way to feel like a star in the latest blockbuster. To truly enhance this feeling I recommend the Studio Tour, but remember it’s as much a ride as a tour so be ready to fend off King Kong, survive a Jaws attack, dodge Norman Bates and persevere through both an earthquake and a flash flood!
