About Handee Band
Isn’t it hard to fit in everything in one day? Handee Bands let kids exercise on the go, any time, any day, and anywhere they like – that’s why they’re so Handee! Use the Handee Band at home, in the car, at the park, on vacation, while watching television or during homework breaks. Get a Handee Band Character sticker after doing a great job!!!
Handee Bands provide sensory (proprioceptive) input so children gain a better understanding of where their bodies are in space and the amount of pressure required when pushing or pulling. Proprioceptive feedback can be calming for a child who needs to move constantly or is very active. Be sure kids follow the exercises as described in the book and work on motor planning skills by coming up with new ideas of what each Handee Band character can do . No need to do every exercise or spend more than 15 minutes a day…..just pick a few and have fun and do it when the time is right! There’s also a Handee Dry Erase marker and checklist so kids can feel good about themselves and gain confidence by tracking their progress day-by-day.
Handee Band exercises help with:
- Climbing & monkey bars
- Balance & Coordination
- Opening tight jars or snack boxes
- Reaching up for items on a shelf
- Holding pencils and markers
- Pushing and pulling heavy items
- Carrying heavy backpacks
- Manipulating snaps and buttons

I’ve had my eye on Handee Bands for my own kids for a while. They’d also be a great addition to the co-op class I’m teaching next year.
This looks like a great thing to keep at the office — it stashes in a desk drawer and you can do many of the exercises without leaving the desk.
I like the Handee Band Exercise Kit
These are great & would be perfect for my kids, they love to exercise with their daddy. They each have a little 2 pound hand weight that they use & they’ll say “Look at me mommy I’m exercising.” 🙂
This would be great for my son!
I love that they help to build upper body strength. My son needs that for tree climbing!
