Looking for a simple recipe that requires only a handful of ingredients and less than thirty minutes? This easy pesto pasta salad is delicious and great as an appetizer or a light meal. To get started on this recipe, you are going to need the following ingredients:

Ingredients:

• 1 lb. dry pasta
• 2 cups cherry tomatoes, sliced
• 8 oz. fresh mozzarella pearls or chopped
• ¼ of a red onion, sliced thin
• Salt & pepper, to taste
• Basil seasoning
• One 6.2 oz jar of Barilla® Creamy Genovese Pesto

Now that you have all of your ingredients, time to make it! First step is to boil your pasta according to the package directions. Once cooked, allow to cool, or place in the refrigerator to speed up the process. Once pasta has cooled, mix in your tomatoes, onions and mozzarella. Feel free to toss a bit of salt and pepper in there to taste.  

The final step is to mix in your jar of Barilla Creamy Genovese Pesto. Obviously you can add as much or as little as you would like, it is all according to your preference. My family likes it on the lighter side, so we do not end up using the entire jar. 

I would love to be that supermom that makes pesto from scratch, but I don’t always have the time and energy to whip something up like that. When I am short on time, I always go for the simple and delicious option, which is jarred pesto.
