I never realized how badly we needed a new mattress until we actually purchased a new one a few years ago. I could not believe what a difference it made in not in my comfort level, but how much more well rested I was. We spend on average 8 hours a night sleeping on a mattress, so it only makes sense that we ensure it’s a quality product that won’t leave you with back pains in the morning. If you have been hesitating about purchasing a new mattress and not quite sure if it’s time… then make sure to check out this list of the top 10 reasons why you should replace your mattress!
Your mattress sags in the middle: If you notice that your mattress is sagging in the middle, ten you are not getting the proper support you need. This is undoubtedly going to leave you tossing and turning all night.
Your mattress has a ridge in the middle: If your mattress has a ridge in the middle, then the support of the mattress where you sleep is actually broken down. This is a sign that it is time to kick that old mattress to the curb!
Is your mattress over 8 years?: The normal lifespan of a mattress is 8-10 years, so if your mattress is older than that, you’re most likely not getting the proper support you need.
Do you roll to the center while sleeping?: If you feel like you are constantly rolling to the center of the bed, your mattress has lost its support. I remember this happening to our old mattress and it was such a pain. My husband and I were constantly waking each other up in the middle of the night because we were kneeing or elbowing one another.
Is your mattress lumpy?: If you find that your mattress is getting pretty lumpy, that means the foam layers and padding have shifted and are not providing you wit good support or pressure relief.
Back pain in the morning: If you find that you are waking up every morning with back pain that eventually goes away during the day, you probably your mattress is the cause. You should check out mattress for back pain from choosebestmattress.com.
Arms & legs falling asleep: Are you waking up with tingling arms or legs? This can be a sign of poor pressure relief in your mattress and a sign that it is probably time to replace your old mattress.
Rolling off the edge: If you feel like you rolling off from the edge of your mattress, it may be time to replace it.
Significant other wakes you: If your partner’s movement wakes you at night, there are many mattress options that reduce the effect of partner movement. My husband moves so much in his sleep and prior to replacing our mattress, this would wake me up often at night. We ended up getting a mattress where I can’t even tell when he moves… wow, what a difference and I am getting so much more sleep!
Your bed seems too small: Are you feeling cramped in your own bed? Do you have too many kids, pets or both in the bed? Well it may be time for you to upgrade to a larger size mattress.

Looks awesome! We love wool!
Nice tips…I agree that finding the perfect mattress is oe of the hardest things ever. Buts it’s crucial to replace an old mattress because it brings about so many problems like back pain, fatigue, and pressure points.
And given that we spend at least 8 hours in bed, buying a high-quality and supportive mattress is probably the best decision one could ever make
