Top Best Netflix Shows to Stream With Kids
Bringing up important topics with your children may sound easy in your head, but it doesn’t always go well once played out in real life. It’s kind of like sending your child to school all day and then having them return, anxious to know all about their day and the only response you get was “I don’t remember.” Sometimes it takes a but more dialogue to get your kids to talk about important subjects. One way we like to introduce new topics with the kids is by finding a movie to stream on Netflix. This allows the children to have the visual and form thoughts and opinions about the subject matter. Whether it’s tackling peer pressure or learning to achieve five whole minutes without a cell phone in hand, addressing tough topics with your kids head-on can be hard. Even with the littlest ones, it’s not always easy to explain why you can’t get them that cute puppy and why they need to be nice to their sister. But with Netflix as your handy and convenient tool, your kid’s favorite shows can allow you to open the door for these tricky, sometimes awkward conversations. Netflix is host to a variety of family-friendly shows that explore a range of real-life issues with equal measures of humor, angst and heart. No matter your situation, chances are you are going to find a show and an episode that can kickstart a dialogue around the topic just by watching it together. I have put together a list of some of our favorite movies and shows that help us to address these important topics. I hope you enjoy! |
