Simple Snack to Keep Your Toddler Entertained
I am very proud to announce that I came up with this nifty looking snack all on my own!
Impressive, I know!
This simple and easy snack completely freaked my son out at first and he fully examined it before deciding it was safe to eat. After the initial shock of my rare creativity wore off, he dove right in and spent 20 minutes enjoying this snack… that’s like an hour of mommy time so I will take it!
Directions
Slice up an apple
Throw a glob of peanut butter on a plate
Stick the apple slices in the peanut butter
Serve to suspicious toddler
Final Step (the most important step of all)
*QUICK! Run to the bathroom and pee alone before your toddler notices!*
We eat apple slices with peanut butter or almond butter all the time, but I never thought of presenting them like that! Cute idea!
We love to do peanut butter and apples here – sometimes to get them really excited, I might sprinkle some cashews or jimmies on it to “dress it up”.
LOL 😀 What a great idea! Thanks for sharing! Love his face!
We just rediscovered apples & peanut butter recently, and my super picky preschooler loves them! This is way cute 🙂
HAHA I love his face looking at the apple!!! Such a great idea!
Amazing how a simple change can make them interested in eating it. My son hates many vegies, but I cut a bunch up one day and had him make his own pizza-he chose almost all of them then ate the entire pizza!
Love it! However, my three year old would carefully pull the apple slices out and lick off every speck of PB and then ask me for more “plain pb”. 🙂
Great idea!He is so adorable. I will have to try this with my 4 year old. Thanks for the post.
Hahah, pee alone… it’s nice when that happens, isn’t it? I think my son would love this! I have apples and peanut butter right now, so I’m thinking this will be his snack before nap time!
Thanks!
My kids get suspicious if I get creative too. 😉 Your snack came out cute. 🙂
Yes I agree run to the bathroom before they notice your gone .Peeing without an audience is rare even for us grandma’s
This is good but my grandson will not eat an apple if the skins are not totally peeled off them. That way I can fib and say yes this is a yellow skinned apple LOL
This is a great idea. I am going to use for my 4 year old son. His favorite fruit is apples so it works out great.
