It’s always wonderful when you discover that your child’s favorite show is an educational one. Even better is the excited looks on their faces when they inform you of all the new facts they learned in the show. I just love when my daughter corrects me on animal facts that she learned from the Wild Kratts show. Both of my children could watch episodes of The Magic School Bus for hours, the amount learning they get from that show is simply astonishing. Not only can they learn about an entire subject in just thirty minutes, but we also own the books, which makes for a great way to go over all of the information. The energy and excitement that Mrs. Frizzle brings to learning is something that even us adults find intriguing and irresistible. I can’t tell you how many times I have found myself watching the episodes with my children while I was in the middle of getting housework done. We even own a few Magic School Bus learning kits that have been so much fun to use. I could just go on and on about all the great ways this show and its resources has helped my children to willingly embrace learning.
