I feel like there are so many occasions throughout the year when I am in need of thank you gifts and I always wait last minute to get them. Then I find myself (on the day they are needed) scrambling around the store trying to put together a gift, all while trying to keep my three kids entertained. I decided it was finally time to stockpile some thank you favor bags to have on hand when needed. Turns out they are super easy to make and have made gift giving no longer a hassle!
The first step is to head to the store and get all of the supplies you need. Here is just a general list, but feel free to modify it!
- Clear Treat Bags
- Ribbon
- Wrigley Extra® 35-stick packs
- Mini Hand Sanitizer
- Mini Hand Lotion Bottles
- Chapstick
- Travel Tissue Bags
- Candy
I came across these all new Extra® 35-stick packs at my local CVS and just knew they were perfect for including my thank you favor bag stockpile! Not only does this gum feature durable, recycled packaging, but it also contains more gum! These gum packs are convenient to keep/split between your desk and your purse and easy to find in the checkout line at CVS. Most importantly though… this gum allows me to Give Extra, Get Extra!
Now that you have all of your products, it’s time to put together your thank you favor bags!
Shopping for your supplies is literally the hardest part of this tutorial… it’s smooth sailing from there! Assort your items into the goody backs however your please, if you notice… I color coded mine, which really made the bags stand out and look unique.
Your final step is to twirl the top of the bags shut and tie them with a ribbon to hold in place.
That’s it… you now have a stockpile of thank you favor bags! No need to stress about getting last minute gifts for your children’s teachers, a helpful neighbor or awesome babysitter!
I just love how these turned out and how simple they were to create! My oldest daughter has already grabbed a few for her teachers at school.
I would love to know if you make the decision to stockpile some thank you favor bags! Which items did you include?
Hope you enjoyed this DIY… happy gifting friends!
These are so clever! Who doesn’t love getting a new thing of chapstick and hand sanitizer? And people are always asking me to borrow gum (Extra is my favorite, too). I love it!
