5 Trends in Business for 2019 that Aren’t Going Away Any Time Soon

2019 seems to be a year for business trends in small businesses. Those trends show no sign of going anywhere as the year winds down and 2020 begins. If you own a small business, you might already know about these trends. Then again, you might not.

If you’re looking to keep up with the times, and want to be a business that goes with the trends, take a look below at the list of the top five trends in business for 2019. Is your favorite on the list?

The Modern Workplace Continues to Grow

The trend of businesses prioritizing their employees’ happiness and good health has reached an all time high in 2019 and is expected to continue to grow as the year comes to an end. From providing a healthy water filling station for employees and customers alike to hosting team building exercises and employee parties, the happiness of the worker is key this year.

There has also been a shift in remote work as well, when it comes to businesses. Employees are spending less time commuting and traveling for work, and more time working remotely from the comfort of their own homes. This, of course, is causing business leaders to find new ways of communicating with clients and their employees, including video chats and more.

Matt Redhawk shares some great tips in this post on ways to run a business without relying on technology.

Digital Marketing Continues to Grow

With the invention of the internet, marketing for businesses, especially small businesses, was able to grow to a whole new level. From artificial intelligence to SEO, and from video marketing to social media, marketing has grown like it has never grown before, and small businesses are getting on board. This isn’t to say that word of mouth and “traditional” marketing (that isn’t digital) aren’t important. Even in a world that is highly technology oriented, word of mouth is still the best way to gain customers for any small business. Even so, now you have many more options for marketing to choose from. Make sure to take advantage of them if you want your business to grow.

User Reviews Will Continue to Rule

It is estimated that today, 95% of online customers decide if they are going to purchase a product or not by reading the customer reviews left on that product. Quite a few customers step back from buying a product or service if the online reviews are negative. It is said that in the coming years, user reviews will be able to make or break a business, and have great influence over what customers buy, or don’t buy, as the case may be.

Digital Banking will Soar

Digital banking is becoming increasingly popular as the years pass. It’s much easier to bank from the comfort of your own office chair than it is to have to go to the bank, risking robbery or anything else when you have money in your pocket after you leave the bank. Not only are consumers going to digital banking, so are businesses, which makes it easier on all concerned when you think about it.

Good Customer Service is Still Key

Even with the world being at the height of technology, one trend that remains the same and always will is that you have to have good customer service if you want your business to succeed. That’s one thing that computers can’t do for your business, and never will be able to do.

These are just a few of the trends that businesses are following and seeing in 2019, heading into 2020. Do you follow any of these trends? Tell us about them in the comments below.
