What Do You Gift The Baby Who Has Everything?

I have officially raised three babies and can honestly say that I have a good idea which items you truly can not live without. So you get invited to a baby shower and it’s the first grand baby in the family… you just know what baby is going to be spoiled beyond measure. What do you gift the baby who has everything? The answer is simple… muslin swaddles! This is literally the first suggestion I make to friends and family that ask me what they should get as a gift for a baby shower. I tell all expecting moms that it is a must have productive that they will utilize well into the toddler years. This is a blanket I used with my youngest in the hospital the day she was born and at 18 months, she still naps and sleeps with them daily.

My favorite brand of muslin swaddles is SwaddleDesigns, they are so extremely soft and incredible quality. These boutique quality 100% cotton muslin swaddles contain cheerful designs and actually get softer with every wash. The open weave increases breathability and reduces the risk of overheating. The generous size, square shape and helpful labels will make it easy to swaddle your new baby (you can also learn how to swaddle your baby if you’re a new parent.)

What Do You Gift The Baby Who Has Everything? SwaddleDesigns has recently introduced super soft muslin swaddle singles in adorable new prints such as Hedgehogs, Panda, Lillie and xoxo. The single muslin blankets come in a pretty gift box (featured in the image above) and there is an impressive selection of prints.

Babies outgrow everything so quickly during the first year, many of those items getting little to no use. When I was getting prepared for baby number three, I spent a lot of time deciding on which items we would actually need and which items I knew would just take up space. On the top of the list of items that we absolutely had to have was muslin swaddles! These blankets get far more use than any other baby item I own.

There are so many uses for a muslin swaddle. I used mine at the hospital to swaddle my baby and take her newborn photos. I also used them during nursing when baby needs something to hold or a I need to clean a milky face. They are also the perfect blanket to drape over a stroller or car seat in order to keep strangers from trying to touch your brand new baby.

Another reason I love these blankets is because I can use them all year long. The breathibilty makes it so you don’t have to worry about baby getting too hot during the warmer months.

The best feature about these blankets however… is their ability to bring so much comfort and security to your baby. They are so easy for baby to grasp, hug, squeeze, drag along with them! I can easily fit them into a diaper bag because they aren’t big and bulky (we have an emergency one that I keep in my bag at all times.)What Do You Gift The Baby Who Has Everything?

I have been a mother for over 9.5 years and thrown a good amount of money away on items that my baby never even looked at. I have learned many lessons and have a good understanding of the necessities and what will get plenty of use during the first few years with baby. Muslin swaddles are honestly a product you will get so much use out of and one of the handful of items that you will swear by once you have used them!
