Epiphanie Camera Bag Review
A special thanks to Epiphanie for providing the Miss Frugal Mommy blog with a product for free in exchange for an honest review!
“Epiphanie was started four years ago by professional photographer Maile (pronounced Mylie) Wilson. At the time, there were no cute camera bags for women. She hated lugging around a separate, bulky man-bag. So she’d end up leaving her camera at home or shoving it into her purse wrapped up in whatever was nearby; a towel, sock, sweatshirt. Obviously that isn’t the best way to protect expensive gear. When she realized that stylish camera bags for women didn’t exist, she decided to create her own line. And it was obvious that she wasn’t alone in a need for them. When Epiphanie launched in 2009, there were already almost 10,000 people on the waiting list, with all kinds of funny stories about the different things they used to wrap up their cameras: diapers, pot holders, even maxi pads! Four years later, the collection has expanded from three to twelve styles and over 60 different bags that accommodate cameras, laptops and even backpacks for men. And there’s lots more to come!“

I remember how excited I was when I first purchased my Nikon and all the fun I had with it the first few months. I would bring it with me absolutely everywhere, finding any excuse I could to use it. I purchased an average case with it, one that served it’s purpose and did a fine job protecting it. However, it was hideous, small and didn’t allow me to carry all of my supplies. Overtime I started bringing my camera with me less and less because I dreaded having to carry around my camera bag. Not only was the bag less than attractive, it was also awkward to carry around, there was simply nothing about this bag I loved. I thought that it would be simple to find a replacement bag that was both stylish and efficiently protected my camera. There just wasn’t anything out there that I found worthy of both titles and so I found my self stuck with I camera bag I hated.
I recently came across an ad for company called Epipahnie in which I assumed sold gorgeous and stylish purses, only to discover that they were actually camera bags. While breezing through their website I instantly fell in love with their style and found myself amazed at the fact that these were camera bags. Now I am an extreme girly girl, my eyes light up over anything pink, sparkly or animal print. Vibrant and unique colors are something I am not afraid to sport and will always purchase my clothes and accessories in that color scheme. I could not believe how many different style bags they had in such great colors, the choices were just fabulous!
There was on particular bag called the Lola in a gorgeous pink shade that I fell in love with almost instantly. There are few things that you order online that exceed your expectations once seeing them in person and I have to say that this bag was one of them. The bag was so much roomier than I had anticipated and the color was a hundred times more beautiful than expected. I was delighted to discover that there was more than enough space to carry not only my camera gear, but everything else I would need for the day. Meaning I could use this as my one single purse when going out for the day. There is not a single negative attribute I could express about this bag, it provides everything you need in a camera bag and then some!
If you are looking for a casual strap to carry the bag over your arm, the Lola provides plenty of comfort and support for that.
If you have a longer day in store and would feel more comfortable carrying your bag over the shoulder, the cushioned strap will provide plenty of all day comfort.
The little details and accents give the bag a little extra oomph and a dash of uniqueness. The camera key chain does a fantastic job completing the look for this bag!
With an easy one zip closure and a padded and secure bottom, you can relax knowing your camera is both safe and comfortable for a long day of toting around.
The ultra-white soft lining is ideal for protecting all of your camera and equipment! You can be rest assured that none of your equipment will be damaged or scratched while in your gorgeous Lola bag.
I was able to fit my Nikon D3100 camera and lens in the bag, along with my charging station, memory card case, cleaning kit/supplies and I still have plenty of room for extras!
