Choosing the Right Box For Your Child
“We know children develop at different rates, so rather than guess based on your child’s age, we want to give you the opportunity to customize your box to your child’s current play level.”
Austin Lloyd provides customers with a through description of each play level so that you can be sure you choose the most appropriate box for your child’s current development.
A subscription box that has my son smiling and jumping with excitement before even opening the box really says something! Roman was over the moon when he discovered that the envelope on the front of the Austin Lloyd Subscription Box was addressed to him and he could not open it fast enough. The envelope contained a group of index cards which gave a great description of all the items included in this months subscription box.
Upon opening the box and pulling out the contents, I was delighted to discover all high end toys from reputable brands that we already love and trust. The fact that Austin Lloyd subscription boxes only include items that are battery free was something that drew me to this particular company. Those are the types of toys I really focus on providing for my children because it allows them to focus more on imaginative play and creativity. There are so many toys on the market today that just consist of buttons and your child sits there watching the toy do all of the work for them. If your child is doing more work than the toy, then they are engaging in a type of learning that is detrimental for their development. Additionally, these are also the types of toys that I never have to worry about them exposing my children to lead, harsh chemicals, bpa or phthalate. And lastly, after being a mother for almost eight years I have come to realize that the quality wooden toys outlive the plastic ones for much longer!
The Austin Lloyd box was overflowing with spring excitement, the colors both vibrant and fun. I just adored how bright and colorful all of the items were and how they were very eye catching. My son found himself overwhelmed with excitement and unsure which fun new toy he wanted to play with first. His anxious little hands grabbed hold of the Ready, Set, Go! Car and off he went, zooming around the house with his fun new car. While patiently waiting for me to take pictures of all the items, he patiently waited for me to take the other toys out of the package. It was during that time that I explained to him that the bird toy was actually a whistle, which he had a grand old time playing with once he realized it made noise.
The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here in Georgia the past few weeks and the children have enjoyed getting their hands dirty and catching bugs. I recently brought them to the store to choose their own plants and seed growing kits for the back deck. The Little Gardener book was a great tool for showing my son how we care for those plants.
There are so many ways to play with this toy, other than just using it as a puzzle. My son really enjoys figuring out different ways to stack the pieces without knocking them over. Just looking at this toy, it may not appear to be that difficult, but it actually is quite challenging to put together (for a tree year old that is.) Your little one really must focus and pay attention to how they lay the pieces into the board because if one is turned the wrong way, the puzzle will not fit together. That is what I love most about this toy though because it allows my son to practice patience and problem solving. I also like to encourage my son to tell me the color of each piece (before placing it on the board) and that has been a great way to help him remember and recognize his colors.
Hape Toys is one of my most favorite brand of toys and I was very happy to see a toy from them included in the box. We just love collecting little bugs around the backyard, so this was something my son was very interested in. He has also found a great interest recently in wanting to know the shape of everything and this has been a great learning tool for that.
Overall my son, as well as myself, were very satisfied with everything in the box. There wasn’t a single item that he did not enjoy and he continues to play with all of them on a daily basis. The overall retail value exceed the cost of this monthly service significantly, which makes this an excellent deal! All of these items are top notch, high end brands and you would have a difficult time finding them at major retail stores. Fantastic quality, made to last, safe for little ones and encourages them to engage in imaginative play… what more could you possibly ask for in a box of toys? Austin Lloyd is an outstanding subscription box service and I highly recommend you try them out for yourself, you will not be disappointed!
