The Perfect End of School Year Teacher Gift Idea

The Perfect End of School Year Teacher Gift Idea

So tomorrow is my third grade daughter’s last day of school, I can not believe this year is already over! We attended an awards ceremony at her school this afternoon, it wasn’t until then that reality truly hit me… my baby… my first born… the child that made me a mother is officially going to be a fourth grader as of tomorrow! Excuse me, but how did that happen and where did the time go? I feel like just yesterday I was holding her hand at the bus stop on the first day of kindergarten, desperately trying to hold my tears back as I sent her off into the big world.

One gift that my daughter and I have always loved and enjoyed giving to her teachers (and is always a big hit with them) is this fabulous personalized plant pot. Not only is it incredibly affordable, but it is very easy to make and something your child can do mostly on their own (depending on their age of course.) You simply purchase a plain white plant pot, a plant of your choice, some permanent markers and you are good to go. Write the phrase “Thanks For Helping Me Grow” on the plant pot, along with the teachers name and the school year. My daughter and I had so much fun making different plant themed designs all over the plant pot. Sadly this year my daughter was too big to get a hand print on there, but that was something we did when she was younger. I suggest getting a clay plant pot instead of ceramic if you plan on doing a hand print, the paint will adhere much better on the clay one. There are so many different ways to make your plant pot unique, either way your child’s school teacher is sure to love this end of school year teacher gift idea!
