Splurge on Something Special — Just for You!

When was the last time you shopped for yourself? You do everything for your family and rarely spend any time or money on what you want or need. With the holidays rapidly approaching, here’s a list of a few items you should consider getting for yourself.

Jewelry

A new piece of sparkling jewelry adds a glamorous look to any ensemble. And, if you are on a budget, you can purchase a new pair of earrings or chain pendants for less than you might imagine. Usually a month or so before the Christmas holiday, stores have huge sales that can save you as much as 30%, 40%, or even more than 50% off the original price. If you prefer to avoid the madness associated with Black Friday bargains, you can shop online and have it delivered.

Home Spa Day

There’s nothing that spells relaxation more than a day of self-pampering.  A day at the spa can cost hundreds of dollars, and that may not be something that you can afford. However, what is within your budget is a home spa day just for you. Gift yourself a spa package. Have your spouse take the kids for the day, then run a hot relaxing bath and fill the room with your favorite scent. When you get out and dry off, you’ll have the rest of the afternoon to try all the wonderful home-spa products you’ve always wanted to try.

New Bedding

If your bedroom feels anything but cozy, maybe it’s time to change things up. Replacing your existing bedding can make a world of difference for your mood. Find something that fits your taste and then buy it. Make sure to add new silky sheets to the bed too, just for fun.

Gym Membership

Your health matters. What better way to start the New Year off right than with a gym membership? Choose one in your area that offers classes so that you can mix things up. You can go a few times a week for an hour and watch your body transform into a lean physique where everything you try on looks fantastic.

Personal Planner

Tired of writing your budget and bills on paper from a tablet, why not gift yourself a personal planner? Some of them are absolutely beautiful and come with many extras too. The colorful monthly tabs help you find things easily and some of the amenities include a coupon holder, a journal, and an address booklet. This will keep you on track for upcoming events, important dates, and allow you to plan ahead.

Undergarments

You splurge on your family, making sure that they have quality items such as shoes that are made of real leather. Yet, when it comes to yourself, you often browse the bargain bins. If there’s one thing a woman really needs, it’s a bra that fits correctly. Going cheap here  —  especially if you have a full figure  —  can cause you grief in your later years. Why not preserve your breasts to the best of your ability and buy a high-quality bra? Sure they cost a bit more, but you are totally worth it.

Candlelight Dinner

Ok, so this one will benefit your spouse too. After you tuck the kids in for the night, you and your spouse can set a table for two, add some scented candles, put on soft music in the background and then enjoy a wonderful meal together. Afterward, cuddle on the sofa with a glass of wine and share time together.

You have a list of items you want to get for every member of the family. Now, add your name to that list and make sure to make yourself a priority! You deserve it!
