Simple Ways To Keep The Kids Busy This Summer
Summer can be one of the times of the year that you either love or hate. However, i think the majority of moms enjoy spending this quality time with their children. But, it’s okay to admit that on some days you can be tearing your hair out. From the usual I’m bored scenarios right down to worrying that they are spending too much time on computer games, it can seem like a long slog. But relax, summer can be a lot of fun. Which is why I thought I would take some time to share with you some fabulous ways to keep your children occupied throughout the summer. Covering good and bad weather days I have it covered.
Weather not so good? Take the entertainment indoors
Waking up and looking out of the window to see rain and not great weather can dampen your spirits. Especially if you wonder how you are going to entertain your children for the day. But there are some great ways to spend time indoors.
Make a den
Making a den can be a lot of fun, and a lot of it is in the actual making part. Let your kids’ imagination run wild. Thinking of ways they can build a den and what materials they can use. A great tip is dining chairs and a fitted sheet to create a shell. But go crazy here. I know it can feel like you are creating a mess, but the chances are you will cover a good chunk of time in building a den. The kids should be occupied and quite happy to play in it after.
Download films and have a movie afternoon
Films are essentially around an hour and a half long. So watching a few of them can pass the time. Which is why it’s worth having some movie snacks in the cupboard for such an event. A movie afternoon can be a great way to relax while still enjoying each others company. Downloading films have never been easier. You just need to ensure you have a good internet access and an account with someone like iTunes or Android.
