About Grammar Chipper Chat

“Travel deep into the grammar jungle and come out a winner with Grammar Chipper Chat! This exciting magnetic chip game explores 16 of the grammatical structures found on most language assessments, including the CELF and the TOLD. Each grammar area has 20 or 30 color-coded question cards (400 cards total!) with a sentence prompt on one side and picture(s) on the other side. The student fills in the missing word on the question side using the pictures as cues. Best of all! Each of the 60 Chipper Chat boards has a photo of an animal with the animal name spelled out in the spaces. These engaging game boards provide countless opportunities for your students to practice the grammatical structures they learned by creating sentences about their animal. Let the Syntax Safari begin!”

My Review

With summer break in just two weeks, I am quickly trying to find resources to help keep my eight year old daughter learning during the long break. This is always difficult because most kids are just ready to have fun in the sun and not commit to learning every day. The best approach to avoiding struggles with getting kids to practice learning activities in the summer is to make it fun! What better way to do this than to introduce a game that is fun and educational for the whole family. We recently had the opportunity to review an exceptional game called Grammar Chipper Chat. This game is packed full of endless possibilities and is most certainly something that will be of great benefit to my daughter this summer.

The game cards come neatly organized and categorized so that you may decide which question cards you would like to focus on.  The direction booklet included with this game provides several different examples of ways you can play this fun and educational game. One variation of the game is to place the magnetic chips on the board in their designated spaces. Each person takes a turn answering the questions on the card and when they answer correctly, you can remove a chip with the magnetic wand. The first person to clear their board is the winner! My daughter and I had so much fun playing this particular game, that we eventually added our own little twist and would see how fast my daughter could answer cards and clear the board. This was so much fun for her and it was fantastic to see her so willingly wanting to learn. Grammar is so very important, something that every child needs to focus on greatly while in school. I am so ecstatic that we have discovered a fun game that will help my daughter not to get behind during the summer break.Grammar Chipper Chat Game Review

This game has already provided hours of fun and educational learning for my daughter and she is always more than willing to take the game out for some practice. Homework after school is always a struggle with my daughter, simply because she just doesn’t want to do it. Not having to bicker, nag or force your child to do something is something every mother strives for. Having a learning tool that your child is actively seeking out and enjoying is the ideal resource in my opinion! I am so amazed by all the content and benefits that this game provides and am greatly looking forward to using it for much longer than the summer break. If you are looking for a way to keep your child engaged in learning this summer, I highly recommend you visit the Super Duper Publications website today and view all of their educational games!

  1. I love the concept of learning and playing games which makes it fun. Grammer is a hard one for many and this seems to really make it fun with the cards too. Thanks for the review. This will be nice to know for Grandson.

  2. I think kids would love these games. The fact that they are learning is an added bonus, lol!

  3. I think that it’s great when you can combine education with fun. Not to mention something that you can do with the kids! PS: Awesome pics! When you’re ready to donate your camera…let me know! 🙂

  4. Thanks for a great review. I love these games. They are perfect for fun time in our homeschooling environment.

  5. very educational, love the fact that games can be fun and teach at the same time 😉 thanks for share @tisonlyme143

  6. I would love to play this game with my grandson. I too think grammar is important, especially in an age when kids & or teens text using shorthand which may retard their ability to remember how to write a complete sentence and to use correct grammar in the process.

  7. I had such issues with English because of my IEP. I really hope that our son doesnt have the same problems that I had and still do really. These games are neat since they make learning fun and they are very thorough with all the different things that your child needs to learn.

  8. It appears your daughter was really concentrating on the game. That is great! I want to ask if it held her attention through the whole game? I like how colorful the game pieces are. That is a great attention grabber for sure!
