Celebrating The Great People In Communities Across America
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of UPS for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
UPS wants to celebrate the great people in communities across America, so for every wish shared with #WishesDelivered, you’re actually helping spread holiday cheer and raising money for charity! UPS will make a $1 donation for every wish to one of their charity partners (Boys & Girls Club of America, World Food Programme, Toys for Tots Literacy Program, The Salvation Army, The UN Refugee Agency) up to $150K total donation. I was just taking a look at all of the wishes that have been submitted already and my heart is just overwhelmed with the good in the world. Every day we wake up to tragic stories and events on the news, the UPS #WishesDelivered page was a much needed reminder that there is still so much good in this world! Just take a look at the video below:
Please excuse me as I wipe away the tears, oh what a touching story and it reminded me so much of my mother. She is one of the most selfless and caring people I know and spends a significant amount of time volunteering at her local battered women shelter. Not only has she provided countless hours of nonjudgmental love and support, she has gone far beyond what is required to help those women and their children. From a simple hug, to providing the children with gifts during the holidays, her heart holds no limits when it comes to making sure each and every family that enters those doors feels loved. My wish this holiday season is that her kind and giving nature inspires others to cast aside their judgement and gives some of their time towards helping those in their time of need. Lend a hand, give a dollar… the possibilities are endless.
I highly encourage you to post your own wish for good on Twitter by tweeting or sharing a photo on Instagram of your very wish using the hashtag #WishesDelivered. Make sure to take some time to visit the #WishesDelivered Site and submit a wish story of you own. What’s your wish?
