About Bump Nest
“Bump Nest™ began with the idea that yes, a pregnancy pillow needs to be comfortable, but it also needs to provide therapeutic value. Such a pillow should actually help women sleep in accordance with doctor recommendations, which is good for both mommy and baby. So, our journey to create a luxurious, yet therapeutic, pregnancy pillow began. We researched the options and tried them all. We analyzed reviews and listened to our testers. In just short of a year, we developed an ultra-plush, supportive pregnancy pillow that, without a doubt, relieves the aches and pains associated with pregnancy, including Sciatica, Restless Leg Syndrome, lower back pain, and Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction.”
My Review
How I made it through two pregnancies without ever using a pregnancy pillow is a mystery to me, because I could not imagine life without one now! I am a very petite person and am always one of those people that others say “wow you all belly with this pregnancy!” That is no exaggeration, at 115lbs pre pregnancy and my first two babies being over 8lbs, you can only imagine the giant belly that I grew. The most difficult part of my first two pregnancies was sleep and I found myself constantly waking up because I couldn’t get comfortable or my legs would fall asleep. I thought I could gain some relief from the leg cramps and uncomfortableness by placing one pillow under my belly and another between my knees. This never effectively worked and only made rolling over quite interesting. For some reason I assumed that if using two pillows didn’t work, why would a pregnancy pillow work? If only I had gotten over that ridiculous idea and went with a pregnancy sooner!
So here I am 26 weeks into my third pregnancy and sleeping through the night without any problems. The Bump Nest has been the perfect solution for all those pregnancy discomforts, eliminating the need to move and roll over throughout the night. Something that I have been experiencing something new with this pregnancy which is horrible leg pains throughout the day. With a little research I discovered that the discomfort was coming from the softening of joints in the pelvic region, causing me a lot of pain when I walk, stand up or move/bend my legs. You only imagine how much pain it causes me moving in the night and the Bump Next pillow has really helped to reduce and eliminate much of that pain. Having the pillow support my body in all the proper places does wonders for the body as a whole, leaving you feeling refreshed in the morning. I just love that I no longer have to strategically place multiple pillows around me in order to get comfortable, this is all accomplished with just one amazing pregnancy pillow!
This pillow is so incredibly soft and comfortable, even my three year old son gets himself wrapped in it on the nights he can’t sleep in his own bed. The Bump Nest manages to be soft, comfortable, supportive yet not too firm… all at the same time, which is pretty amazing in my opinion.
The removable pillow case makes keeping your pillow clean simple and easy. The fabric options are simply divine and I had a difficult time choosing just one. I decided to go with my favorite color pink and was not disappointed one bit. I was also happy to discover that they use all of their fabric scraps to make baby beanies in which they donate to charities. I have a soft spot for companies involved in charity so this make Bump Nest an even great company in my eyes!
Overall I am very impressed with the Bump Nest Pillow and unable to find a single negative feature about it. This i as no longer a product I consider a luxury, but a must have pregnancy item. You hear people tell you all the time (at the end of your pregnancy) to get as much sleep as you can before the baby is born. The Bump Nest is guaranteed to provide those last few months of precious sleep and I highly recommend one to all my fellow pregnant ladies!
I am not preggers however I have broken my tail bone making it very hard to get comfortable in bed this looks like it may help
This would have came in handy when I was pregnant with my son. I could only sleep on my side, which was an awful change from always sleeping on my tummy. I was constantly uncomfortable and tried to fight with too many small pillows to build a nest around myself. This looks like a dream and the fact that they donate hats out of material scraps is absolutely adorable.
Wow! Well, somehow, I have made it through three pregnancies without a pregnancy pillow, but I did have pretty bad back problems each time. If there’s a next time (which I’m hoping there will be soon), I will definitely consider using something like this (even though it’s kind of funny-looking!). 🙂
