Bubblegum Princess Book Review
A special thanks to New York Media Works LLC for providing me with a free product to review on my blog!
“Once upon a time in a land not far from here, there lived a young lady named Katy. She was delightfully witty, extraordinarily kind, and decidedly brilliant. However, young lady Katy had one unmistakably unladylike habit. She loved blowing bubblegum bubbles. New York Media Works’ first book, Bubblegum Princess is inspired by Duchess Kate Middleton and Prince Williams’ fairytale romance, and a reallife gum chewing incident at the Prince’s Sandhurst passing-out ceremony in 2006. Bubblegum Princess is scheduled to go on sale the day Prince William and Duchess Kate’s “Baby Cambridge” is born. Bubblegum Princess author, Julie Gribble celebrates a lively, intelligent, and strongwilled heroine; her Katy is not your typical “princess.” The full color Bubblegum Princess, illustrated by Lori Hanson takes readers on an adventure filled with royals, the queen’s favorite dogs corgis, and tons of bubblegum.”
This beautifully illustrated books gives a real life account of the infamous Kate Middleton. It was so wonderful reading this book to my daughter and teaching her about real life princesses. This is a challenging book for her to read, which I am really happy about. I always tell my daughter that if it’s too easy, then you are not learning. With a more advance book such as this one, she will have ample opportunity to learn new words and improve her reading skills. This is an overall wonderful book that we enjoyed reading together and I look forward to the day my daughter can read the whole thing to me by herself!
