A Busy Mom’s Guide to Finding Time for a Beauty Routine

Beauty routine!? What beauty routine? When you’re a mom you barely have time to stop and eat breakfast, so, how in the world do you find the time to keep up with your beauty regimen? Though it may seem like an impossible feat, the truth is, there’s always a solution. It may require some rearranging of your schedule and lifestyle, but with a bit of effort, you can continue to look your best while raising your kids. Here’s how: 

Wake Up Early

Most busy moms can agree that mornings are often the most time-consuming and stressful. You’re scrambling around trying to get the kids ready for school and yourself to work which leaves very little time to primp or prepare the way you’d like to for the day. A simple solution, however, is to wake up just a bit earlier. Getting up 30 minutes to an hour earlier than the rest of the household gives you the time you need to tend to your beauty routine. 

Create or Simplify Your Beauty Routines

Routines help you to create healthy habits. When something becomes a habit, you become more efficient at it allowing you to save time. So, if you don’t have a beauty routine, you should start by creating one. What things do you need to do each day to look and feel your best? Write these things down and then determine how much time you need to do each task. For example, to take care of your skin, you need to wash, exfoliate and moisturize. These three steps may take you 15-minutes to complete. Keep going down the list including applying makeup and personal hygiene tasks. 

If you already have a beauty routine, then you may need to simplify it so that you’re completing tasks in a smaller timeframe. 

Dual-Purpose and/or Easy to Apply Products

An effective way to simplify your beauty routines is to purchase products that serve a dual purpose or that are easy to apply.
