I came across an easy 20 minute dinner recipe for tortellini spinach soup and could not wait to try it out for myself. With only three main ingredient, a few spices and 10 minutes to cook, I was hesitant to think that this would actually come out tasty… boy was I wrong! This is full of color and flavor, the kids slurped it up out of their spoons and were asking for seconds in no time. With no further ado, here is the simple recipe for you to try out!
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach
- 2 (14.5 ounce) cans chicken broth
- 1 (9 ounce) package cheese tortellini
- 1/4 tablespoon dried basil
- 1/4 tablespoon garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Combine the spinach and chicken broth in a large pot over high heat. Heat to boiling, then reduce heat to low. Stir in tortellini, and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the tortellini is cooked to desired tenderness. Season with basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. That’s all, you are now ready to enjoy a delicious bowl of soup with a side of your favorite bread or crackers!
