My Review

As parents we will inevitably care for, kiss and bandage hundreds of “boo boos’ over the years, there is no question about that. Children are going to tumble and fall and there is nothing we can do to prevent that, no matter how much we would like to. The best thing was can do is be prepared for those bumps and bruises and provide our children with the best first aid care that we can. As a mother of two, I have seen my fair share of injuries and over time have discovered that kid themed first aid supplies are always best. You will learn over time that the happy animal face on the ice pack and the smiling dog on the sticker will make a difference. I recently discovered a family owned business that offers am amazing selection of kid friendly first aid supplies and would like to take a moment to share a few of their products with you.

Up first is the adorable and happy penguin displayed on the reusable soft cloth cold pack. My three year old son has already made use of the Cool it Buddy and he is so happy with it. We have owned several kid friendly ice packs that my son refused to use and would complain that it was too cold. What he really liked about this one is that it was very soft to the touch and it didn’t get him wet when it began to thaw out. Previous to owning the cool it buddy, my son would refuse to let me keep an ice pack on him and would just cry about how cold it was. I was shocked the first time I used this on him and I didn’t have to persuade him that he should keep it on his boo boo. When using it the other night, he held it on his hand until it was no longer cold, which showed me that it was providing him not just relief from the pain, but comfort and security as well.

The Diaper Bag Buddy is my new favorite first aid kit to keep in the diaper bag. I just love how small and compact this kit is, does not take up very much space in my bag at all. The contents of this kit contain just about everything you would need for baby if ever not at home. From a thermometer to wipes, this kit is sure to get you out of a jam if you ever forget to pack something in the diaper bag.  Plus if I ever want to keep the diaper bag at home or in the car for a short trip, I can easily fit the diaper bag buddy in my pocket, how great is that!?

Having bandaids in my purse is not only convenient, but it’s a necessity. Whether my own child or someone else’s child gets hurt at the playground or school event, someone is always going to need a bandaid. I use to just throw a handful in a small inside pocket of my purse, however they would always get lost with receipts and such, making it impossible to find when I needed them. I also have kids that like to rummage through my purse and I just recently had to throw out a bunch of my bandaids because they managed to get unwrapped and stuck to everything. The Medi Buddy is the perfect solution to this and now allows me to keep first aid supplies (for my older kids) neatly organized and never lost in my purse. 

We have had the Medibag for approximately two weeks now and I have already lost track of how many times it has come to the rescue. Just last night my three year old son got a pretty nasty cut and he was completely hysterical. Being a rugged little boy that gets injuries multiple times a day without uttering so much as an “ouch,” I knew it was going to take some extra care to calm him down. He seems to really dislike when he gets cuts and is more resistant to allowing me to care and bandage his boo boo. I was surprised to find that the stickers in the Medibag were what allowed me to settle him down and distract him enough that I could bandage up his cut. As we discussed the stickers, he smiled in anticipation over the fact that he could have a puppy sticker as soon as we were done taking care of his cut. The smile on his face as I handed him the sticker was a sure sign that he was proud of himself for being so brave. I am absolutely in love with this Medibag and it has been such a convenient first aid kit to have in the house. Everything can be so neatly organized in it and stored safely when not in use. My children also can’t open it on their own which I am very fond of because they love to get into the bandages and “fix” all of their stuffed animals!
