My Personal Experience

My kids and I love doing crafts and have a closet dedicated to just our supplies! After years of shopping for crafts, there are only a couple of stores that have awed me with their amazing prices and Jo-Ann Fabrics is on the top of the list! In addition to their unbeatable prices and spectacular sales, they also have the best coupons a crafting addict could ask for. Jo-Ann Fabrics has become a favored trip for the kids and I and you can always count on us being there for over an hour.

After the kids and I looked through the spring craft catalog, we immediately knew we wanted to make a birdhouse. So we printed off our craft list for the Tiki Birdhouse and ventured off to our favorite craft store! We didn’t even make it through the front door before finding our most important material on the list, the birdhouse! There was a display of birdhouses outside the store, along with some great summer supplies at 70-90% off. Once we made it inside the store, I discovered an informative employee right away that helped me easily find all the supplies we needed. The kids were anxious to get lunch so we sadly didn’t get to stay as long we usually do, but I was still able to find a few things for myself that I just couldn’t pass up! Once at the counter I realized that while in the frantic rush to get out the door, I had forgotten my beloved Jo-Ann Fabric coupon. The manager was ever so kind to offer me the coupon she had on hand, and that’s the great customer service I receive every time I shop there!

View the Tiki Birdhouse material list to see what you will need for this craft. We did substitute a few things for convenience due to my children’s ages, specifically stickers instead of painting flowers on the birdhouse.

This was overall a super easy project that leaves so much room for you to add your own ideas. There was also a lot that my children could do without my help and plenty for them to do without fighting.

The paint dried exceptionally fast and we were able to move onto stickers within no time! Here is the final piece, my children’s beautiful and unique Tiki Birdhouse!!!
