A lot of people have no money towards the end of the month simply because they are being too extravagant with the things they buy. Instead of shopping in low-cost supermarkets or buying less expensive brands, they buy branded goods at higher-end places, for example. Being more frugal means making better decisions that correspond with the money you earn. Perhaps you need to make a budget or simply choosing more wisely on your essential items. If you are buying a car where the repayments are too high, perhaps you need to choose something less expensive. Yes, learning how to live within your means can be difficult at first, but once you see the results and the stress beings to lift, you’ll realise the wisdom of it. You may even be able to save something.

Coupons are everywhere, and there are also supermarket loyalty schemes. Why not sign up for everything you can, and benefit from lower prices and money off offers. This will help keep the weekly shop down.

If you have a lot of things you don’t need, then why not put them up in buy and sell on things like Facebook or specific sites such as Gumtree. You can also find some awesome bargains on these sites too, and there are also a lot of things being given away for free. The same can be said for your utilities. Many companies have great opening offers that you can benefit from if you are prepared to do a little leg work. These companies all offer the same product, so why pay a premium when you can get it for far less. Being frugal means you need to makes a little more effort, but the results are so worth it.
