Doing this will force the warm air that is in your ceiling down, helping you feel warmer.

Cold air can come into your through uncovered gaps, and these gaps can also cause warm air to leave your home. Your windows can be the worst offenders when it comes to letting cold air into your home. Make sure your windows are closed, and also make sure they are covered with curtains or drapes. If you do not have curtains or drapes on your windows, cover them with blankets to lower the amount of heat that leaves your home.

  1. Close your doors

  1. Use space heaters

Space heaters are a great way to warm up smaller spaces. Running your heater all day can be expensive. Space heaters allow you to keep the room you’re in warm without having to pay an expensive heating bill.

  1. Replace your air filters

Replacing your air filters will help you have better airflow throughout your heating system. This better airflow will make it easier for heat to flow through the vents and in your home.

  1. It’s interesting to know that simply closing some unused doors can help us lower our electric bill. We feel like our heating system is working harder than it used to and this is the reason why we have to pay a higher amount for utilities. Aside from following your tips, maybe it’s a good idea to hire HVAC contractors too for their inspection and maintenance services.
