My Review

Play kitchens are undoubtedly a must have toy for every young child and something that has always been a favorite in our home. I can still remember the first time we brought home a play kitchen for my eldest and the amount of play she got out of it. Then when my second child was a toddler, we decided to invest in a larger one for both of the kids to enjoy. We have had that amazing Step2 kitchen for many years, it’s been loved by many children, yet shows not signs of wear. Step2 is a brand that I know when I purchase one of their products, it is going to last for more than one child! I have seen them come out with so many gorgeous and modern style play kitchen these past years and am delighted to share one with you today!

The Step2 Dishin’ Up Delights Kitchen was so incredibly easy to assemble, all of the pieces fit together just like a puzzle and it only required a several screws to hold everything in place. All of the other pieces just needed to be snapped into place and then the stickers placed in the appropriate locations. This literally took me thirty minutes to assemble and could have  easily taken half that time, but my son insisted on being my little helper. I have very little patience when it comes to putting the kid’s toys together and it’s a job reserved for my husband. However, the simplicity and ease of assembling this play kitchen did not cause me an ounce of frustration!

I am absolutely in love with the color scheme and modern look of this play kitchen! I am also very fond of the size, as it is very slim and does not take up very much space. We found that the walkway area near the living room was the perfect spot and found myself surprised at what little space it took up, does not look cluttered or bulky whatsoever!

One of the children’s favorite features on the play kitchen is the adorable little feeding area for their plush puppies. This is such an adorable feature that really adds a unique touch to the kitchen and provides much more imaginative play for the kids.

There are plenty of areas to store all of the play food when not in use, such as the stove and refrigerator. The doors on the stove are very easy to open and shut and the handles make it significantly easier! The stickers provide a great visual to encourage pretend play as your child cooks you up a delicious dinner!

The electric top stove actually makes sounds and lights up when your child places one of the pans on top. My three year old son just loves to imitate me cooking on the stove while using this part of the play kitchen!

As you can see from the image below, there are so many places to keep all of the pieces when not in use so that they don’t get lost or misplaced. There is an area on the top right corner with ridged, allowing your child to store the bowl and plate. There are even three little hooks where you can hang the spatulas and cup, which my son always remembers to do (clearly he loves to keep an organized kitchen just like mom, hehe!) Something that I find very adorable about this kitchen is that you can place your child’s artwork or photo in the picture frame next to the microwave. I have never seen this in any sort of play kitchen and I was very impressed when I first noticed it, defiantly a great way to personalize the toy for your child!

This kitchen truly has it all, from a dry erase board that actually allows your child to write their grocery list… a pretend fan over the stove, an ice maker, sink and even a place to make coffee. There is also a really great amount of space in the refrigerator!

Overall I would have to say that the Step2 Dishin’ Up Delights Kitchen has completely exceeded my expectations and is by far one of the best we have had the pleasure of owning! Again, I am just so impressed with the design and color scheme, it’s really great to see that Step2 has a kitchen that would work so well in a little boys room. All of the modern features and appliances are fantastic, especially the coffee maker as my son has always loved to pretend pour me cups of coffee. They really did a great job adding little features such as the dry erase board, dog feeding area and picture frame. Most importantly, my son adores this play kitchen and uses it multiple times a day. He has engaged in so much independent play while using it this past week, it’s so special watching his imagination soar! I just can’t say enough great things about this play kitchen and I could go on about how much my son enjoys it, I highly recommend it!

We Hope You Enjoy These Photos of Mr. Roman Playing!
