Smart, Safe & Easy Lice Prevention With SoCozy

I remember when I was a little girl, probably about 5 or 6 years old, playing tball for the school and an unfortunate way I caught lice. All of the girls on my team were required to wear a helmet when it was our turn to hit the ball and sadly, one of the girls had head lice. After one evening of practice and all of us sharing batting helmets, the entire team ended up with lice. I have vivid memories of everything my mother went through to rid me from this terrible pest. Having to purchase expensive and unsafe hair products to kill the lice, cleaning everything I owned thoroughly on top of preventing the rest of my family and younger siblings to also catch it. The worst part of it all was one I returned to school… I can still remember to this day being called to the principle’s office over the intercom. I was then directed to her office where a handful of us sat as the principle and office staff examined our hair with pencils and combs. This was defiantly a terrible memory from my childhood and I hope none of my children will ever have to go through it! That is why I am taking measures to prevent lice and keep their heads protected from those pests in a safe and easy way.
It has been many years since that time my entire t-ball team caught lice and I can only assume this has happened enough times where we are now taking more caution in order to prevent the spread of lice. However I was only reminded this summer of how many do not realize we need to refrain from sharing hats. We attended a small local event at a farm with a handful of moms and kids from the community. Towards the end of our visit the kids lined up near the stable where they would have the opportunity to ride a pony… the kids at the front of the line were asked to find a helmet and once they were done their turn, hand it to the next kid in line. My face immediately started to flush and it took all my strength not to be that mean mother that yanked her kids from the line (kicking and screaming) so I gritted my teeth and held back tears as I witnessed all of the kids sharing helmets. It was in that moment that I realized these situations are unavoidable and instead of missing out, I needed to find a way to deter and prevent lice. I recently received some products to review from SoCozy for this post (my opinions are my own and not edited by SoCozy.) This could not have come at a more perfect time as Georgia has been listed as one of the states with the lice that are immune to the products that get rid of lice. This was certainly the ideal time to take measures to prevent them!

Both my daughter and I have been loving each and every one of these products. Not only to they smell great, but I know they are safe for her. I can send her to school without the worry of her coming home one day with a head full of lice. The bottles are so kid friendly and if you have a child like mine that could care less about hair care, then you will be thrilled with these products. My daughter has organized them in her bathroom and makes an effort to use them and contribute towards preventing lice. SoCozy has another amazing product to add to their already impressive collection, check out the image down below for additional information on that:
