A special thanks to Simply7 for providing me with a generous amount of their delicious snacks, for free, to review on my blog!
About Simply7 (Their Story)
“We created Simply7 because of a distressing trend we noticed in our local grocery stores: food made with ingredients that most people don’t recognize and can’t even pronounce. Over the years, we have learned to examine the nutritional content of foods (calories, fats, vitamins, etc.), so why do we not scrutinize the ingredient labels on our food as well? Go to your pantry and see if your favorite products pass this test: Can you name the natural source of each ingredient? Do you know what you are really eating? Can you pronounce the ingredients on the label? The idea behind Simply7 was born because many of my favorite foods did not pass this test (and I suspect that many of yours don’t either). I decided to create a company that makes sure that every ingredient in our products is not only natural but is SIMPLE. You should be able to identify the raw vegetable, fruit, grain, or legume the ingredients in our products come from. I also wanted to show people that simple ingredients are actually exceptionally delicious.”
I recently had the opportunity to review a box of Simply 7 snacks and I am so glad to have discovered them! I am always in search of healthy snacks that my children enjoy, as we are fairly strict about the foods we allow them to eat. My children were very anxious to start trying all of these different snacks and we decided to test them out in groups, based on their chip type. The first group of chips we enjoyed was the pomegranate chips and these were by far our favorite! They are the perfect blend between a chip and a cracker and are light and crunchy. These are much better than any chip I have ever had and are so much healthier than a greasy bag of potato chips! I could not get over how scrumptious these were and I had personally fallen in love with the seal salt pomegranate chips!
The second group of chips we tested were the lentil chips, these were equally delicious and had the same light and crunchy texture. My children were especially fond of these ones because of their unique scoop shape. The third group of chips we tried were the hummus chips and they were very similar to the lentil ones. Their unique shape made it fun for my children to eat and the added flavors were all very enjoyable. I would hardly consider these chips, as they are so much healthier and grease free compared to the average bag of potato chips. The flavor in all of these chips are much stronger than any potato chip, yet they aren’t covered in a layer of seasoning. I just love how guilt free I feel when snacking on these! I have officially found my new favorite healthy snack and I highly recommend you try them out!
