Our Mother & Daughter Review

I have a great passion for beauty products that contain quality ingredients, as my daughter and I are sensitive to many of the harsh ingredients found in them. You will find that our home only contains products for sensitive skin and ones that are dye and/or paraben free. I have broken into hives enough times to know that it is worth the couple extra dollars more to purchase a quality product than to settle for one that is not. Something that I am not willing to give up though is scented items! I have a very strong sense of smell and spend a ridiculous amount of time making sure everything around me smells marvelous. I was just delighted when I first discovered School of Wash and realized they offered amazing scented products, yet they were dye/color/paraben free.

I had the pleasure of reviewing the Handmade Hair & Body Spritz for Her and have been in love it from the moment I first used it. Firstly, Pink Champagne is an amazing scent and while my days are spent as a human napkin for my children, it’s so nice to be able to freshen up with this product. My hair is far from attractive as the day winds down and to be able to get some quick moisture in it (so I may look half way decent when my husband gets home from work) is a really great self esteem booster!

So what did my adorable seven year old think of this product? Well lets just say that our morning routine is going much smoother these days… literally! My daughter’s hair is not fair, but not thick either. I typically run the flat iron through her hair before school to get rid of that fluffy, wispy hair which she absolutely hates sitting still for. This week we have started to skip the flat iron routine and have now been using the hair and body spritz on her. As you can see from the “before and after” picture below, this product did a fantastic job smoothing and calming her hair.

Overall we are both very impressed with this School of Wash product. Not only is it a safe and effective product to use, but the company supports a good cause. It’s great to know that when I make a purchase, my money is going to a company that puts a lot of focus into charity!
