My Review

If your child ever finds them self struggling in math, a parent’s first instinct is to seek out additional help. My first thought is to search the internet for worksheets and guides so that my daughter can get more practice. I find myself quickly overwhelmed with the amount of information that is poured out in front of me and the majority of it ends up not being very helpful. So I end up spending most of my time trying to find valuable resources and I usually end up with not a whole lot to work with! I was excited to discover a website that not only provides math work for grades 1-5, but they have also made it into a fun game! What better way to engage your child into a difficult subject than to make it fun and enjoyable for them. School Country offers a great selection of resources to help make a subject that doesn’t always come easy to children more approachable!

For this particular review, we received the first grade Math Lab for my daughter. The game at this level allows your child to use visuals alongside numbers in order to answer math problems. Working your way up the mountain by answering a variation of math problems, you are able to earn medals for successfully completing a level. Your child can keep track of their achievements by visiting the genious-o-meter. Something that I love about this program is that I receive emails in my inbox regarding my child’s progress. It provides me with a complete breakdown of how much work she completed, her success rate, and the time she put into practicing her math.  I am sure many moms can relate to the fact that their children do not appreciate you hovering over their shoulders as they work, so these emails are very helpful to me! This is an all around wonderful program and I would absolutely recommend it to my fans!
