I have partnered with Smithfield to help you bring your family delicious and effortless meals that are unforgettable!

The best part about breakfast foods is that they are enjoyable any time of the day. Whether it be in the morning or dinner time, breakfast food is something we always find appropriate! I am always looking for ways to challenge myself and create simple yet unique recipes. I recently made these delicious sausage hash brown balls topped with a homemade garlic sauce for brunch and they were a huge hit with both family and friends!

You are only going to need a few things for this recipe, here are the ingredients:

  • 1 lb Smithfield maple sausage links, uncooked & chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups baking mix
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 (30 oz) package frozen shredded hash brown potatoes (about 4 cups)

The directions are quite simple for this recipe, all that you need to do is combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl and then roll them into 1 1/2-inch balls.

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and bake your hash brown balls for about 25 minutes (or until they are brown.)

While your hash brown balls are cooking in the oven, this is the perfect time to make the garlic sauce. The first time I saw this recipe I was very skeptical, there were rave reviews for it… but garlic sauce? Turns out it really is amazing… I was very surprised. They complement the hash brown balls so well!

Mix 1 part sour cream and 1 part Greek yogurt, then mix in some garlic powder (taste test and keep adding until you are satisfied with the taste.) I then snipped one green onion and mixed into the dip.

These hash brown balls are seriously amazing! It is like all of your favorite breakfast foods mixed into one ball and you can taste each ingredient with every bit! The garlic sauce and additional toppings (diced tomatoes, avocados, green onions) just hit this recipe out of the ball park!

I love how well these stick together, they don’t fall apart or crumble wen you are eating them. These are like the least messiest breakfast sandwich you will ever enjoy! Easy to make and simple to eat, you can’t go wrong!

What is really great about this recipe is that you could always make the hash brown balls, store them in the freezer uncooked, and then take them out and cook them throughout the week!

These are great for any meal of the day and did you know that 48% of people actually enjoy eating breakfast at non-traditional times? Smithfield has quickly become one of my favorite brands because they allow me to bring brunch home and enjoy effortless meals with my family and friends!  I used Smithfield’s new Fresh Breakfast Sausage in this recipe because it is high quality (gluten free and no MSG) and brings big flavor to this dish. If you prefer something other than maple, you can also make this recipe with their original or bacon flavored sausage.

I hope you enjoyed these two recipes, let me know in the comment section below if you tried them out and what your family and friends thought! Make sure to check out  sugarykitchen.com for more recipes!
