Newman’s Own Organics Giveaway

Sponsored by:  Newman’s Own Organics
Hosted by: The Stuff of Success

I am always interested in healthy eating options – especially when it comes to the snacking.  It is the snacks that can easily add up to cause some unhealthy eating habits very quickly.

I have always loved Newman’s Own products and they have since spun off another division Newman’s Own Organics! This new division was launched in 1993 by Paul Newman’s daughter, Nell.  In 2001, NOO (Newman’s Own Organics) became a full business of its own.

Certified organic by Oregon Tilth. Ingredients have been grown on farms that have not used artificial fertilizers or pesticides for three years or more. The farms and processors have been certified by an independent third party. Kosher certification by Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, 333 Seventh Avenue, New York.

I live right down the road (several miles) from the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.  Paul Newman and Newman’s named products have always been a major staple in our area.  Who wouldn’t want to support such a program?  And, the food is really good and NOO – so healthy and much better for you.

I was so fortunate to have been sent a huge box of Newman’s Own Organic products.  They are all great!!  They have also generously offered to send one reader four of my favorite items plus a surprise fifth item!  YAY!

There were so many products in this box.  It was a little overwhelming at first – where do we start!

 Organic Dark Chocolate
Licorice Twists (oh man, this is my weakness)
All kinds of chocolate cups: Peanut Butter, Caramel, Peppermint
Mint candy tins

Cookies, cookies and more cookies
Hint-O-Mint
Chocolate
Fig Newman’s
Original
Cinnamon Graham Alphabet Cookies
Family Recipe Cookies

Honey Wheat Mini Pretzels
Traditional Pretzels
Spelt Pretzels
Pretzel Rods

And one item not pictured – dried prunes.  Those disappeared right away as my father-in-law had a desperate need for them.  He was not the least bit interested in my “need” to take a photo…

Which brings me to the next point – can you imagine just how hard it is to have a family of 8 in our house and not let them dig right into this box… With so many of us it is very difficult to determine what our absolute favorites are…

So I will start with the Licorice Twists – I am totally sucked in by anything with the name licorice on it.  I don’t like black licorice but anything else – yum, yum, yum!  I love the caramel cups, my kids love the peanut butter and my husband loves the peppermint – tough one there.  Mint tins – always a favorite primarily because of their portability.

Cookies?  My mother in law and I love the Cinnamon Graham animal cookies; my father in law, the Fig Newman’s and everyone else is split among the sandwich cookies.

We all love all of the pretzels.  Very difficult to choose a favorite there.  I would have to say the pretzel rods but I doubt everyone would agree with me.  Too many favorites in this house…

I feel like I am on The Apprentice and I am being forced to make a decision.  So my decision for our favorite four??????

1.  Licorice (I can’t give up my vote on this)
2.  Cinnamon Graham Alphabet Cookies
3.  Pretzel Rods
4.  Hint-O-Mint Cookies
