Minecraft: Story Mode’ Episode 1: The Order of the Stone

I am always looking for fun and entertaining games for PS4, preferably ones that don’t curse or have endless amount of violence. I see Minecraft displays each time I have entered the toy section of any store. My children have been intrigued by it so when we were presented with the opportunity to try out the latest Minecraft game, we were thrilled to finally see what the hype was all about. The game’s first episode released earlier this month digitally. The five part episodic series sets you in the world of Minecraft, but introduces new characters and familiar themes, building an entirely original Minecraft experience inspired by the game. Your child will drive the story through the decisions they make and what you choose to do in moments of thrilling action will make this YOUR story!
If you decide to take on this journey you will find yourself alongside Jesse, and then you and your friends are thrown into an awe-inspiring adventure to save the world. While visiting EnderCon, your gang stumbles on something dreadful. Terror is unleashed, and your only hope is to track down the “Order of the Stone”, a fabled group of adventurers who slew the legendary Ender Dragon. But where are they? In a race against time, you will travel across the over-world, through the Nether, to The End, and beyond. I just love how excited my children get about this and being able to make their own decisions throughout gameplay. It is also reassuring to know that I have provided them with a game that encourages them to think and decide what they are going to do next. There are so many mindless games out there that offer no benefit to our children and Minecraft is certainly not one of them. If you have a gamer in the home and would like to gift them a fun and engaging game this holiday season, I highly suggest the new Monecraft story mode!
Here is some live game action from when my daughter was playing the game!
