My sweet, kind and loving son turned four years old at the end of August and it just so happened to be a very hectic time. We had just welcomed a new baby, making my son Roman no longer the youngest of the family, but a big brother. My two older children were ecstatic over the arrival of their new baby sister and she is so lucky to have such a helpful brother and sister! Despite the easy transition, I still try my best to show the older kids just how special they are and how much they are loved. So when I discovered that there were these amazing inspirational poster cards for kids from Hallmark, I just knew they would be perfect for my two oldest children! I was intrigued by the concept of these cards, that they were more than just a simple card that would quickly get lost in the junk pile. These amazing and creative cards actually transformed into a full size poster and I could not wait to see this for myself.

So I visited my local Walmart and upon arriving in the card section, I was actually able to speak to a Hallmark representative. She knew exactly what I was referring to when I asked about the posted cards and kindly directed me to the display, located on the end cap of the Hallmark card isle (as pictured below.) There were so many wonderful selections and the bright colors immediately drew my attention. Ultimately I decided on the Spiderman card for my son and Tinkerbell one for my daughter, as these were two of their favorite characters.

The evening of August 22nd rolled around and my children were anxiously awaiting for their father to get home so we could begin the festivities! I had shopped at Walmart earlier that day and purchased everything I needed to make my son’s birthday dinner, he requested cheeseburgers and french fries. We enjoyed a delicious dinner, yummy cake and ice cream and then when straight to opening the presents. I was personally super excited and anxious for my children to open there cards, I could not wait to see their reactions.

 Here they are happy to have received cards with their favorite characters on them, but little did they know that there was an even bigger surprise in store for them! 

I took a moment to read the cards to the children and emphasize even more just how special they are to me and how much I love them. I then procceeded to explain to them that these cards were a gift within themselves and to unfold them!

 The children’s reactions were exactly what I anticipated and they were shocked to see that this small card unfolded into a ginormous posted! Both immediately jumped in excitement and begged me to help them hang these on their bedroom walls.

 Life can get so incredibly busy and sometimes I don’t always have the time and energy to be that perfect mom who can create an amazing poster for my children. Sometimes I need a little help in the creativity department and that isn’t always easy to admit. I am so thankful that Hallmark has created these inspirational cards for kids so that they can have that reminder that they are special!
