Every weekday morning my oldest daughter and I head outside to the front of our house at 7:08 and wait for the school bus to pick her up. As the colder months are approaching, we are now being forced to bundle up in order to stay warm during those chilly mornings. We welcomed a beautiful baby girl this summer, so I now have another little one to bring with me to the bus stop in the mornings. Making sure she is bundled up and warm is my top priority and I find that it is very important to seek out hypoallergenic items to ensure that they are gentle on my baby’s skin. Her skin is so vulnerable to harsh chemicals and prone to getting irritated, so I want to make sure I am only exposing her to the best products! One of those items on the top of my list is Dreft, which is the number one baby laundry detergent choice of pediatricians.

About Dreft Laundry Detergent

  • Trusted for over 80 years, Dreft comes with a babyhood scent beloved by moms and provides little ones fabrics with an amazing clean, yet it remains safe and hypoallergenic for baby.
  • Specially formulated to be gentle on baby’s skin but tough on stains, Dreft brings cuddle time to a whole new level of warm and fuzzy this winter season.

The amount of laundry I do weekly has almost doubled since having my baby girl. She is famous for taking a clean and adorable outfit and turning it into one completely covered in baby poo! Diaper explosions that go up the back or out from under the legs is the worst and we have at least one a day. Getting those stains out only goes so far without using a laundry product, but I am way to nervous about using anything that is strong and could irritate her skin. That was until I discovered Dreft also carries a stain remover. They also have a to-go stain remover that fits perfectly in my diaper bag and allows me to tackle stains when I am not at home. I can’t begin to tell you what a panic I put myself into when one of my children gets an awful stain on their shirt and I can’t take care of it right away, before the stain becomes too embedded into the shirt. This Dreft to-go stick has been a lifesaver and I will never leave my house without one again.

I am also a stickler when it comes to keeping my home smelling fresh, a foul odor will have me on edge until I can track to source. I really dislike using air fresheners around the new baby and worry that it will be too strong and irritate her. The colder months means windows will be shut and less air will be circulating through our home. Dreft has a fantastic odor eliminator and fabric refresher that adds an elegant scent to the room. It isn’t strong or overpowering and I don’t have to worry about my baby’s skin becoming irritated when I lie her on the rug or couch after freshening it up.

With so many changes coming up these next few months, I really want to try my best to make those transitions easier for my daughter. We will be tackling the time change and shift in routines very soon, which always takes a few weeks for everyone to adjust to. The weather will call for winter coats, shoes, mittens and extra layers and blankets for my summer baby. Thankfully I have a great collection of Dreft hypoallergenic products to keep my baby’s skin soft this winter!

  1. Oh I love the smell of Dreft! I got a sample not too long ago and I just want to use it for all our clothes now.

  2. I have never tried Dreft and it sounds wonderful. I love that it doesn’t have any strong scents and is gentle on the skin. We all have lung and skin issues at our house and we can’t have any thing that has strong scents and is not gentle on our skin. I love that Dreft can be used on the whole family’s laundry.

  3. I haven’t had a chance to try Dreft yet, but I definitely plan on it. I did receive some samples of Dreft, I’m just trying to use what I received (different brand) from my baby shower before I buy/test more. πŸ™‚

  4. I know I tend to have sensitive skin especially in winter. So I will be using dreft to protect my babys skin and to keep all her clothes and blankets clean and smelling pretty πŸ™‚

  9. I did not know that Dreft made a stain remover! I would love to have this in my diaper bag for my kids! I love Dreft laundry detergent and use it for all 3 of my children, they have sensitive skin and it is the only thing that doesn’t give them a rash!

  10. My favorite thing about Dreft is how sensitive it is, while still cleaning my kids clothes very well. All 3 of my kids have sensitive skin so it is the only product that doesn’t make them break out. I am definitely excited to try the stain remover!

  11. Having a detergent thats safe for babies skin is very important in my home. With 15 month old twins and a 3 month old.

  12. Well, I learned that you should wash all your baby clothes *before* baby wears them. Oops. Anyways, I love Dreft! It smells good and is sensitive enough for the whole family.

  13. I love the fact that you know your going to get the babies clothes clean and also you don’t have to worry about odor from diapers or what not, there freshner works well πŸ™‚

  14. I love that the odor eliminator and fabric refresher isn’t strong or overpowering. I don’t like to have those strongs odors around a new baby.

  15. I only use Dreft for my son’s clothes. I love how the clothes are clean, soft and smelling good. I didn’t know that they have other products. Thanks for your review.
