Fresh Coffee On-the-Go With Capresso

If there is one thing that you should know about my husband and I is that we absolutely love coffee. If I had to guess how much coffee I consume in a single day, it would be close to one full pot. I know that may sound like an unhealthy amount of caffeine to consume in one day, but I assure you that is spaced out and not guzzled all at once. I am up each morning at 6AM to get my oldest ready and off to school. Making my morning coffee is part of the daily routine and I enjoy sipping that cup of coffee each morning while I wait with my daughter at the school bus stop. Then around 7:30pm my two youngest kids are starting to wake up, at which time I wake my husband up and inform him he has to get ready for work. By the time he is getting up for the day, the coffee pot I had brewed that morning has been sitting on the burner, not as fresh and needing to be refilled for him. There is noting quite like that first cup of coffee in the morning and the last thing you want is for it to be unpleasant! That is where Capresso has come to the rescue and allowed my husband to have fresh coffee on-the-go each morning.

The Capresso On-the-Go Personal Coffee Maker is a single cup brewer that can whip up a mug of coffee for you in less than four minutes! With a removable permanent filter that allows me to use coffee grinds or soft coffee pods, my coffee options are endless. I I just love how much time I am saving by just brewing coffee in this for my husband. When he is getting ready for work and almost out the door, I can quickly brew him a cup of coffee straight into the stainless steel mug. He often forgets his mugs at work, so the fact that I can use any travel mug with the personal brewer is a huge plus. My husband was loving this personal coffee maker so much that he actually brought it to work with him and he keeps it in his office. We got him some creamer, sugar and mugs for his office and now he can brew coffee conveniently right in his office. He tells me all the time how great that has been and it has worked out so incredibly well!

We have been really wanting to try a coffee grinder and start grinding whole coffee beans. The reason why this is so much better than buying ground coffee from the store is because they have already lost that freshness. Capresso explains that “grinding fresh whole bean coffee immediately before brewing is the first step to achieving the best tasting coffee at home. Ground coffee interacts with the air around it and, within hours, loses a great deal of flavor and aroma. The longer the ground coffee is exposed to air the more flavor is lost and the rich, full-bodied taste of the coffee cannot be obtained.” I was not aware how much I was missing out by using ground coffee! I love dark, bold, kick you in the mouth coffee and brewing my coffee with freshly ground coffee beans is absolutely amazing! There is just a huge flavor and aroma difference, the freshness truly makes a difference. I honestly do not think I could go back to using ground coffee now that I have had a taste of the good life (pub intended!) We pick out a new bag of whole bean coffee to try out every week now on our grocery shopping trip.

The Capresso Coffee Burr Grinder is very simple to use, easy to keep clean and has an abundance of options to help you get the type of ground coffee you are seeking. It is also very small and sleek, so I can keep it on my counter all the time without it taking up unnecessary space. This also makes it easy to store away in the cupboard when you need to get it off from the counter.
