I have wasted a ridiculous amount of money on those fancy snack storage containers! They never ever work out and I have yet to find one that is practical enough for bring with us on a road trip. What our family started using for our travel snack kit is only a few dollars and has worked better than any snack container I have yet to use. The solution was a simple tackle box!

You can find these tackle boxes ranging in prices that are all less than $5! What I loved about a tackle box is that it gives you the freedom to customize all of the storage spaces, so you will always have the right size space for each individual snack.

The tackle box is very light weight and when your kids are not snacking, it can easily rest on their lap to be used as a lap tray. Think of all the coloring and fun games the kids can play!

I always make sure to include the fruit, crackers and trail mix that my children enjoy snacking on, but also make sure to include a snack that are filling so they don’t eat up all their food within the first hour of driving!

The Jif® Power Ups™ come in two different forms, first is the Jif® Power Ups™ Creamy Clusters which are my absolute favorite! I use to make my own energy ball that are similar to these, but it can be so time consuming making them. I was so thrilled to discover the creamy clusters, they are absolutely delicious! My children are over the moon about the Jif® Power Ups™ Chewy Bars. What this mom loves about both these products is that they provide a balance of protein, fiber and good fats… plus there is no corn syrup!
