Something that I love greatly about my two year old daughter is that she is so diverse when it comes to the types of toys she enjoys playing with. While she is infatuated by her dolls and playing with her toy princess castle, she is equally thrilled by her superhero tower and rescuing the city from villains. Over these past few months she has become somewhat obsessed with superheroes and simply can’t get enough! With warmer weather and fun nights playing in the yard, I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to create a superhero themed craft. We recently spent the evening creating some adorable and easy to make glow in the dark superhero jugs!

All you are going to need to create this craft are a few large sheets of felt, permanent marker, and an empty juice jug.

Your first step is the easiest and that is to empty out a juice jug… which wasn’t difficult at all for this family! Tampico Beverages has the perfect selection of juice drinks to satisfy our families’ taste-buds this summer! Plus their jugs are perfect for using in crafts once we have enjoyed every last drop of juice.

After you have cleaned out the juice jug with warm water and soap, allow to dry. You will also want to remove the labels on the outside. You will then take your first piece of felt and cut it into the shape of a cape. We used a glue gun to secure the cape into place.

The next step is to cut out a mask for your superhero and their matching bottoms. Then draw a face and hair to complete the superhero look!

The final step is to insert the glow sticks into the juice jug, a fun activity for little hands!

The adventures that took place after this craft were hours of play in the yard, full of laughter and memories! I love how such a simple and inexpensive craft could bring our family so much fun and “Unbottle Laffter!“
