In our home the the kitchen is the most common area where everyone tens to hang out and spend most of their time. We have an open concept floor plan, plus the kitchen has a large island with bar stools for everyone to sit on. The kids will do their homework, guests love to gather around the island and spend time together, plus it makes serving my family meals while cooking a more pleasant experience.
