Corn Dogs & Homemade Barbecue Sauce RecipeI’m sharing #SausageFamily in my life as part of a Johnsonville sponsored series for Socialstars™

Is it just me or does the school year get crazier later into the year? I feel like the excitement of starting school is over, sports and activities are in full swing, and we are all begging for bedtime at the end of the day. With three rambunctious kids in the house, I am always looking for those simple backup meals when I just don’t have the time and effort to cook an entire meal. That is where corn dogs come to the rescue because… how can you go wrong with those? Kids simple love them!

The great thing about the Johnsonville corn dogs is that they feature 35% more meat than other corn dogs and they are made with 100% premium pork.

Since these corn dogs are so incredibly easy to prepare (you literally just pop them in the oven for about 30 minutes and they are ready to enjoy) this leaves me with plenty of free time to come up with a creative dipping sauce. Other than ketchup, my children will only dip their food in BBQ sauce, I was all out while preparing these corn dogs, so I figured… how hard could it be to make it myself? Turns out… it’s not that hard at all and I guarantee you have most (if not all) of the ingredients in the kitchen already.

This homemade BBQ sauce took me a total of 10 minutes to gather up the ingredient, mix on the stove top and warm up. This actually was done before the corn dogs were out of the oven, which gave me some time to allow the sauce to cool.Corn Dogs & Homemade Barbecue Sauce Recipe
