Can you believe how fast this summer has gone by? My daughter starts school on Monday and I am just shocked at how quickly those two short summer months went by. I spent the last month of our summer break a very pregnant and miserable mama that avoided the Georgia heat the best that I could. With an eight year old daughter returning to school and a three year old son starting preschool in the fall, I had to get creative with ways to keep their brains stimulated, despite my limitations. Lucky for me, Netflix is packed full of great educational movies, shows and documentaries geared towards a younger audience. I was just blown away with the vast amount of options available, especially the documentaries. My daughter is all about wanting to learn more when it comes to animals and we really enjoyed such documentaries as the turtle and dinosaur ones. My three year old son just adores the LeapFrog movies and they have been really great with helping him to continue learning about numbers, letters and shapes. He really enjoys singing along with the show and this has been one of the most successful ways to help teach him.
